Dr. Michael Nagorske
Roots in Agriculture
Dr. Mike grew up on a grain and cattle farm in Southwestern Minnesota which continues to operate today. He is a co owner of Nagorske Brothers Angus providing seedstock to commercial and registered breeders across the United States.
Veterinary Education and Early Career
Dr. Mike attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota and began his professional career with Trans Ova Genetics. He served on the Professional Services Team performing assisted reproductive procedures including embryo transfer and in vitro fertilization in both beef and dairy production systems.
Leadership in Calf Health and Genetics
During his time at Trans Ova Genetics Dr. Mike developed a deep passion for raising calves. He served as Director of Veterinary Services overseeing the health and performance of youngstock within the Elite Calf Program Viagen Cloning Program Genetic Advancement Center Heifer Program and Recipient Cow Program. His work focused on maximizing genetic potential in young calves through nutrition and disease mitigation a passion that continues today.
Global Research and Consulting Experience
Dr. Mike also served as Director of Research for Saskatoon Colostrum Company for eight years. His work included research and consulting related to calf health and nutrition in dairy and dairy beef systems worldwide including Indonesia Europe Korea Israel Japan Mexico South America Canada and the United States.
Education and Speaking
Dr. Mike continues to deliver educational speaking engagements for producers veterinarians and nutritionists around the world with a focus on calf health and nutrition.

In January of 2025 Dr. Mike founded ProGen Cattle Solutions to provide dynamic services to both beef and dairy producers.
